  • Went to school. Napped before Calculus instead of working on the problems from last class. Barely stayed awake during class. Marketing was canceled for some reason, did some work on our market analysis project. Hung out with Jackie, Jamie, and Travis.

    Home and tried to read The Gossamer Years for History but napped all afternoon instead.

    Went to a Tastfully Simple party at my neighbors house because my mom wasn't feeling well enough to go. I got to hold my neighbor's adorable baby as well as try tasty foods.

    Now to do some more reading and likely just fall asleep again.

  • What a weekend.

    Saturday
    Was woken up by Keiko and Chanti barking at something.

    Spent some time going between my house and my neighbors to figure things out for the party.

    Papa, Mimi, Jill, and Bryce arrived.

    Bryce and I went shopping for party stuffs.

    Sloppy Joes for lunch.

    Went to the mall with Grandi, Mimi, Jill, and my mom.

    Started getting ready for the party. Kicked my mom and much of my family out of the house, they all went to Mexican Village and got half priced margaritas. My dad, Paul, and Shellee helped me get the house decorated and the food set up. Then my dad, Paul, Gramps and I sat around watching Build It Bigger waiting for the group to get back.

    They all came back and the party got started. A lot of people were able to come. We had too much food (as usual). Papa, Mimi, Jill, Bryce, Gramps, Grandi, Paul, Shellee, Richard, Chuck, Dyan, Lynn, Debbie, 2 ladies my mom went to the casino with, AJ, Tiffany, Aaron, Jordan, Zach, and Sarah all made it, as well as my immediate family of course.

    Grandi decided that we had to stay up till midnight since Sunday is really my mom's birthday. Most people had left but there were some people that did stay till midnight and we sang Happy Birthday to my mom again and it was probably the most messed up version yet. Then the clean up started. I mostly just dealt with the food and the garbage and decided I would deal with the dishes in the morning.

    Zach left to meet up with Eric and Lyndsey at Dempsey's. Sarah, Kai, Bryce, and I decided to go meet them too when things were cleaned up well enough. Sam and Hobbit were there as well. We ended up giving Jennie Brophy and Kala a ride to Kala's. We hung out there for a bit. I was so tired I convinced the rest of them that we should head home.

    Sunday
    Was again woken up by the dogs barking but I was able to go back to sleep.

    Helped my dad get the dining room put back together to have brunch. Everyone came back from the hotel to have brunch and then they all headed home.

    We finished cleaning up and gathering dishes and crockpots that belonged to others.

    We all went to the Verizon store to check out new phones since all of us except for Ian are up for upgrades. My dad was the only one to get a new phone; my mom and I like ours and they still work just fine, and Kai couldn't decide on one before he had to go to a movie.

    My mom and I made popcorn and watched Bride Wars and My Live in Ruins. Both were cute.

  • Got my Calc exam back. I tied someone else in the class for top score of 96.

    Hung out with Jackie. Went home and finished my laundry. Hung out with Jackie more. We had Juano's and have decided that on study day we are gonna road trip down to the cities area and get some Chipotle and wander around, Chipotle is so tasty.

    Hung out with my grandparents and others as they arrived home. We all went to Doolittles for dinner.

    Hand and Foot was played. My team; with Grandi, Gramps, and Paul; won both games.

    I am really not so sure if I'm excited for tomorrow or not. It's gonna be crazy.

  • Computer Science exam went as well as to be expected.

    Management was a giant waste of time, again. My group and I have decided to skip class on Tuesday to work on our project so we don't have to do it all out of school and it would be a better use of our time.

    Spent all afternoon and some of the evening cleaning. Vacuuming the floors, rugs, and carpet, mopping the tile floors, cleaning out both the kitchen fridge and the drinks fridge, doing laundry (mine), getting the spots out of the carpet from where the nasty moldy watermelon dripped on its way to the garbage, vacuumed the stairs, light dusting, washed some windows, and cleaned up the basement better than it has been in months.

    Went to Oliver at South High. It was really cool to see all my students, well I guess they are my former students, and the new kids. The show was pretty good.

    Sat and talked with Kai and Sarah while they were in the hot tub.

    I haven't finished my laundry, there are 2 loads waiting to be folded, but it will have to wait till tomorrow or later this weekend.

  • Calculus exam went alright. I'm pretty sure I was one of the first people out of class and there was only 5 minutes left when I got out.

    Went to the tricollege career and internship fair. Was interesting since I've never been to one but was kinda a waste of time. Did get some really good information on the Peace Corp.

    Picked up the books I ordered from Barnes & Noble. I now have the whole series instead of missing the first 2 books.

    Napped on the couch with Keiko.

    Been procrastinating on studying for my Computer Science exam I have tomorrow.

    *rant*   So my whole family has kinda blown up. Ian is home from the dorms for the next 2 weeks to get his meds straightened out and to make sure he's doing alright. My dad's side of the family is all really upset with his little brother (Greg), this has been going on for a long time but is much worse now. It's my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary over Thanksgiving and we were (maybe still are, I don't know the standings right now) going to go to the cities so Greg and his family might be more likely to join us since its about half the distance that way. Apparently his response was that he would have to look into if they were available. What kind of dick doesn't say OF COURSE when his parents 50th wedding anniversary is coming up, they are having a rather nice party, its over a long weekend, and the party is going to be taking place at a location closer to him in hopes he comes? Adding to all this, it's my mom's 50th birthday this weekend and I'm in charge of the party planning. The party is on Saturday, both sets of grandparents will be here, my aunt and cousin, a lot of family friends from out of town, more friends from in town. Getting everything organized plus school plus other events has been a lot of work. I get to spend the next 2 days cleaning the house because I will not let my mom do it (being her bday and all) and my brothers are not the most helpful in that area.

  • Got my Management paper all put together with my group members and turned in. Talked about China in Management, I have no idea what we really talked about because this is now the 3rd class to talk about that country and all the info is mashing together. Talked about NPV, IRR, MIRR, and payback period in Finance.

    Worked on Computer Science homework in the lab, now finished with the Excel section of the class, on to Access next.

    Read my book and napped with Keiko.

    Went back to campus and read more. History class we covered prehistory in Japan. Got my exam back, 85% but its an A-.

    Have spent 4 hours or so trying to figure out the Calculus review sheet for my exam tomorrow morning. There are only 7 problems on the sheet.

  • Got frustrated with my Calc prof because we were given a review sheet for our exam on Wednesday but he hadn't figured out the answers for the questions so I don't really know if I'm doing the problems right.

    I really have no idea what we talked about in Marketing, I was unable to keep my attention on the prof.

    Have spent the afternoon and evening working on various homework assignments. Made some awesome nachos for dinner. Did some more party planning.

  • Saturday
    Went to the new Walmart that's now near my house with my mom just to check it out. I know it's just another Walmart and is like any other but my mom doesn't really ever go there.

    Did some cleaning around the house. Worked on some party planning for next weekend.

    Got ready to go out. I put on makeup which is something I have never done before.

    Went over to Amy's to start off the night. A lot of people joined us there. We handed out candy to kids. Then Amy, Jared and I went to McDonald's on the way to Zach's because Amy and I hadn't had dinner yet. Dancing, jamming, and fire breathing all occurred at Zach's. People wanted to go downtown so we went to Dempsey's, I drove Jared home first because he wasn't feeling to good, Amy came out with me. Met up with people at Dempsey's, the group was an ever fluctuating number of people. Zach, Amy, and I went back to Amy's and made some food. We tried to watch a movie but couldn't get things to work. Drove Zach home and then went home myself.

    Sunday
    Watched some tv. Went to Fleet Farm, Scheels, and Barnes & Noble with mom. Picked up Ian from the dorm and went back home for dinner.

    Homework time.

  • Hmm did stuff today.  Bought tickets to see the Transsiberian Orchestra as a 50th birthday present for my mom. Of course I'm gonna go with her to see the concert!

    Bummed around watching tv. Had pizza dinner with my family. Got a call from Uncle Mike, I love talking with him!

    Met up with Zach and a bunch of people. Definitely an interesting time.

  • Got an A on my Management midterm. Got a 105% on my Finance exam. Fixed up my resume. Did a Finance assignment that's not due for another 2 weeks. Had my resume reviewed by Career Services.

    Tried to watch some tv but ended up falling asleep on the couch with Keiko for 3 hours.

    I meant to do stuff tonight but got distracted.
